VALBORG

We went to Valborg last night and I loved it! We were there at 8:30 when the fire started and watched it get bigger and warmer. It was about max 5 degrees there but we stop near the fire to get warm and then watched the fireworks. We ran to the car as soon as the rain were done haha because we were all frozen. But it was a great night! For those of you who don’t know what Valborg is: it’s a tradition based in the middle of the spring and summer that is celebrated in north Europe as long as in Germany and Slovenia and the main purpose is to get off the bad things (that you can throw in the fire) and move on happier. I love traditions!

OUR SANTA LUCIA

img_1546img_1549img_1544

Yesterday’s small celebration for Santa Lucia- an Italian tradition we keep even here in Sweden. After a city stroll with no outside festivities found we decided to buy some “lussekatter” and just be home and eat. These are so yellow and pretty🕯

POP OF BLUE

Sometimes I like a bit of color on my look just to come out of the comfort zone with my neutrals. I got this bag from H&M and I like that is such a beautiful blue, almost royal.
I’m now off to the saloon to get my nails done and after that we will go out for lunch and city walk but also have a little “fika” to celebrate Santa Lucia.

SECOND OF ADVENT

img_1145img_1144Today is the second advent we burn light for here in Sweden. We count the 4 weeks before Christmas and burn a light every week. The tradition says that is time to start the preparations for Christmas like bake and cook traditional food as well as having dinner with family and drink “glögg” with “pepparkakor”. I love traditions!

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY🇹🇩

img_1004Happy national day Romania! My soul country where I grew up and lived for 18 years of my life. Where I had my friends and the most fun in the world with them. I always miss that place and always return happy to see my sister and grandmother that live there.
People celebrate this day by going to the parade, eating traditional food and spending time with family. I will celebrate a little bit later today and I wish everyone a great day! ❤️🇹🇩

Yesterday

imageimageimage Hello! Here’s a picture of the makeup look I wore yesterday for Sweden’s national day and a sneak pic of the outfit. I did applied a little bit of yellow on the center of the lid and wore yellow top and blue pants to match the swedish flag🇸🇪. Great colors for a summer day! We went to a bar and had a drink but also ate some parisiene baguette at the festival. They were so good I could eat those everyday. 💜
